Below is important information to get us ready for the year.
Coaching Requirements
To coach for HBYS, three steps are required:
a) Fingerprint/Background Check
- Required by the High Bridge Police Department, per town ordinance.
- Appointment takes about 15 minutes at 67 Beaver Avenue, Annandale.
- Start the process here New Jersey Youth Soccer | Participant Safety Hub
- Note: No matter what background check you've done recently, the town will only accept this specific one.
- Valid for two years.
- Email us directly if you need to confirm.
b) SafeSport Training
- Required by NJ Youth Soccer (our league insurer).
- Get started at www.njyouthsoccer.com – create an account or use the same log in if you have registered previously.
- Click on SafeSport in the top menu bar and then SafeSport Training on the left.
- NJYS will also run its own background check during the process (this is separate from the town's check and is simply an online authorization click).
